We emphasize in-person (on-site) training for this course, as hands-on practice is essential for mastering the technique. Each class is held at a specified location where students can observe a live demonstration by the instructor and practice under supervision. (We believe practical, face-to-face training is crucial for developing the required skills.)

Whether students get to work on their own live models during the class depends on the format of the particular workshop. Some sessions are structured as larger-group seminars or “workshops” — in those, the trainer performs a demo and students practice on artificial skins (with no live models for student work). Other sessions are smaller, often two-day classes, where in addition to the trainer’s live demo on a model, the students also get to work on their own models (usually on the second day) with close supervision. This course is intended for permanent makeup artists who already have some basic experience using a PMU machine in their work. It is not designed for complete beginners. You should be comfortable with machine-based cosmetic tattooing fundamentals such as operating a PMU device, understanding skin depth, hygiene protocols, etc. For example, having done procedures like ombré or powder brows (or any machine-applied technique) would meet the prerequisite. Note that microblading-only experience is usually not sufficient, since microblading does not involve a machine; we require that attendees have worked with a machine before.

You do not need to have prior experience specifically with the hair-stroke brow technique – we will teach that from the ground up. The program is structured so that artists who already do machine hair-strokes can refine and advance their skills, while those who have never done hair-strokes can learn the technique step by step from the basics. In summary, as long as you have some machine PMU background, you are eligible to attend and will benefit from this training. (If you are brand new to permanent makeup with no machine experience yet, we recommend completing a fundamental beginner course in PMU first, then joining this class once you have that foundation.)

We offer both 1-day and 2-day formats for this training, depending on the location and organizer. Each event listing will specify its duration. Generally:

• One-Day Training: An intensive single-day session (around 8 hours) covering the core theory of the hair-stroke technique and a live demonstration by the trainer. Students will also get time to practice strokes on practice skins (artificial latex) under supervision. In the one-day format, students do not work on live models themselves (due to time constraints) – the focus is on observing the instructor’s demo and practicing the technique on practice materials.
• Two-Day Training: A more extensive program spread over two days. Day 1 usually includes in-depth theory, preparatory exercises, and initial practice on practice skins, along with the trainer’s live demo on a model. Day 2 focuses on hands-on work by the students: each student works on a live model’s eyebrows (under close guidance) to practice the hair-stroke procedure from start to finish. The two-day format allows for more practice time and detailed feedback. Typically, each student will work on one model during the class (in addition to observing the trainer’s demo). The extra day also provides more time for Q&A, personalized corrections, and advanced tips.

Both formats ensure you gain a thorough understanding of the technique. The two-day course is recommended if you want extra practice or prefer a slightly slower pace with more repetition. In either case, each training day runs approximately 7–8 hours (with breaks included).

We hold training sessions in various countries around the world. The schedule of upcoming dates, cities, and venues is published on our website. On our homepage, there is an interactive map – you can find your country or region and check if a course is already scheduled there. Each event is typically hosted in a local partner’s studio or a training facility in that city. We have conducted classes across many countries and continue to expand to new locations.

If you are willing to travel, you may attend any scheduled training worldwide. (Many students choose to travel to attend a session in another country if none is available nearby.) Keep in mind that if you do travel abroad for a class, you may need to arrange a tourist visa depending on the country’s requirements. Fortunately, since our courses are short (usually one or two days), a simple visitor visa is typically sufficient; a student visa is not required for such short-term training. Students are responsible for their own travel and accommodation, but the local organizer can often recommend nearby hotels or transportation options to help. We welcome international attendees at all our trainings – in fact, many of our graduates come from different parts of the world. And if you do not see your country on the schedule, you have the option to help organize a training in your area (see the next question).

Yes! If you don’t see a workshop coming up in your country, you can work with us to host a training in your city. We often partner with local organizers to bring the course to new locations. As an organizer, you would be responsible for coordinating some key arrangements while we handle the teaching and curriculum. For example, the local organizer typically helps with:

• Venue: Providing or securing a suitable training space (such as a beauty studio or salon) with enough room, good lighting, chairs/beds for procedures, and access to electricity/outlets.
• Equipment & Supplies: Preparing the necessary supplies such as pigments, anesthetic creams, practice skins, and disposable materials (gloves, wipes, etc.), according to our checklist. (Don’t worry – we will supply or specify the specialized items like the PMU machines and needle cartridges, so the organizer does not need to provide those.)
• Models: Recruiting local models for the students to work on. Typically, we need one model per student (for the students’ hands-on practice) plus one model for the trainer’s demonstration. Organizers often find volunteers who are interested in getting the treatment done during the class (usually offered free or at a special discount for the model).
• Student Enrollment: Promoting the workshop in your area and signing up a minimum number of students. We usually require a minimum group size to make an international class feasible. As an organizer, you can use your network and local advertising to attract qualified PMU artists who want to attend. (We will discuss and agree on the target number of students.)
• On-Site Logistics: Assisting during the event with things like setting up the room, preparing workstations for each student, managing the schedule, and arranging any refreshments or breaks if needed.

We always keep class sizes limited to ensure each participant gets plenty of personal attention. The exact number of students can vary based on the training format chosen by the organizer. If the course is a larger seminar-style workshop (where students watch a demo and practice only on practice skins, without individual model work), the group might be a bit bigger to accommodate more people. Even then, we avoid overly large crowds; everyone will still be able to see and ask questions during the demo and practice session. In contrast, if the training includes hands-on work on models (such as a two-day intensive class where each student works on their own model), the group is usually much smaller – often around 8 – 15 students total, or even fewer (second day – groups will be split to smaller ones, one in the morning, one in the evening, so master can focus on each student during their work on models). This ensures the instructor can closely coach each student during the procedures.

Regardless of the format, our priority is that you feel supported and receive one-on-one guidance when you need it. We do not run big lecture-hall type classes for this kind of practical training. You can expect a high instructor-to-student ratio, meaning the trainer (and any assistants) will be by your side as you practice, giving you feedback and help. With the intentionally small groups, you will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get direct mentorship throughout the course.

Absolutely. No matter which format of the training you attend, the instructor will perform a full live demonstration on a model at the start so you can observe the technique step by step. This is a very hands-on course overall — it’s not just theory.

The exact practical work you will do yourself depends on the training format. In the more intensive classes (for example, the two-day training or certain small-group sessions), after the demo each student will work on a live model of their own under the trainer’s close supervision. You will apply the hair-stroke technique on real skin (your model’s eyebrows) while the instructor guides you and provides corrections as needed. In the larger seminar-style workshops (such as a one-day class with a bigger group), you will still get practical experience, but it may be on high-quality practice skins instead of a live model. In either case, the goal is to ensure you actively practice the technique with expert guidance. If the training format includes students working on models, then yes – each student will have their own model to work on during the class. In those cases, you do not need to bring a model with you; we (or the local organizer) will arrange suitable models for everyone ahead of time. Typically, we recruit models from the local area who are interested in the procedure, so that every student gets a chance to practice on a real person under supervision. You will perform the technique on your model from start to finish, with the instructor by your side to guide you.

You are generally not required to find or bring your own model. However, if you have someone in mind (for example, a friend or client who is willing to be your model) and you would prefer to work on them, you can let us or the organizer know in advance. In many cases, we can accommodate personal models as long as it’s arranged beforehand. This is completely optional – the class will have models provided for all students regardless.
Note that some shorter workshops (such as certain one-day seminars) do not include a model for each student to work on; instead, you practice on artificial skin and watch the instructor’s demo on a model. But whenever the course does involve hands-on model work, we ensure there are enough models for every student (at no extra charge). All of those logistical details are handled by us, so you can focus on learning and practicing without any worry about finding models.

We provide almost all the necessary equipment and supplies during the training, so you won’t need to lug a heavy kit with you. The one item we do ask you to bring is your personal PMU machine. Since you already have experience with machine work, it’s best for you to practice on the device you’re familiar with. (We will have a professional machine on hand as a backup and for demonstration, but ideally you should train with your own machine.) Aside from that, you really do not need to bring much. If you have favorite needle cartridges and would like to use them, you’re welcome to bring a few, but this isn’t required because we will supply all the necessary cartridges and needles compatible with standard machines.

Everything else you’ll need is provided by us: a full range of high-quality pigments, practice skins, anesthetic gels, measuring and drawing tools, and all disposable materials like gloves, masks, and wipes. We set up each student’s workstation with sterile, single-use items and anything needed for the procedure. We even provide protective gear such as aprons and caps so that you’re properly outfitted. In short, apart from your machine (and any personal tools you prefer), just come as you are – we’ll have all the products and equipment ready for you. This makes it especially convenient for those flying in or traveling; you can arrive with just your machine and be confident that everything else for the training will be taken care of.

The training fee is comprehensive and covers everything you’ll need for the course. It includes: all instruction (both the theory lessons and the practical coaching), the use of professional equipment and products during the class, and (if the course format involves live models) the provision of models for you to practice on. You will receive detailed training materials or a manual that outlines the technique step by step, and at the end of the course you’ll be awarded a certificate of completion. In many of our classes, we also provide refreshments – coffee/tea breaks and sometimes lunch – especially for full-day sessions, so you can stay focused on learning.

Often, we continue to support students after the class as well, offering mentorship or advice as you start applying the new skills on your own. Some training events might even include a small starter kit of supplies to take home, but this varies by location (if a take-home kit is included, it will be mentioned in that specific event’s details). Generally, you should not have to purchase anything extra for the class – everything needed to successfully complete the training is included in the fee. We want you to be able to arrive and fully immerse yourself in learning without any hidden costs.

The cost of the training varies depending on the location and specifics of each event. Each scheduled training will have its price listed on our website or in the event information PDF. As a general range, for a 1–2 day intensive course taught by a top artist, the fee is typically somewhere around $1,000 to $3,500 USD per person. The exact price depends on factors like the format (one-day vs. two-day), the country or city (local operational costs), and what is included.

We strive to keep pricing fair and reflective of the value provided. The fee encompasses personalized hands-on instruction in a small group setting, the use of all products and equipment during training, the arrangement of models (if applicable), your certificate, and often meals or refreshments. Please check the specific event listing for the precise fee of the training you’re interested in, or feel free to contact us directly for details. (Note: The training fee does not include your personal travel or accommodation expenses – those would be your responsibility if you need to travel to attend.)

Yes. We typically require a deposit to enroll in the course, which confirms your spot. This deposit is generally non-refundable if you decide to cancel, because we must pre-plan the event (venue, materials, travel arrangements) and we often have to turn away other interested artists once the class is fully booked. If you do need to cancel your attendance, please inform us as soon as possible. We understand that emergencies happen; if you cancel well in advance (ideally at least two months before the training date), we may be able to transfer your deposit toward a future class or help you find a replacement student to take your spot. However, last-minute cancellations (or no-shows) will result in forfeiting the deposit.

The remaining balance of the course fee is usually due shortly before the class or on the first day of training. Once the course has begun, if you withdraw or cannot complete it, that payment is typically non-refundable as well. We do not offer refunds for simply changing your mind or other avoidable situations, but we will do our best to work with you (for example, to reschedule you into a later session) if an unforeseen conflict arises and you give sufficient notice. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel or postpone a training on our end (for example, due to instructor illness or not meeting the minimum number of students), any deposits or payments you have made will be refunded in full or can be transferred to a new date – whichever you prefer. We aim to be fair and transparent with our policies, and all specific terms will be clearly communicated to you when you register.
